CHINA WILL LAUNCH FIRST EVER ARTIFICIAL MOON BY 2020 TO SAVE ENERGY
China is in the process of launching an “artificial moon” that would be bright enough to replace the streetlights in the south-western city of Chengdu by 2020.
A great step toward saving energy and making it one of the most unique and distinct projects of its kind
As reported it is said that the artificial moon is said to be 8 times brighter than the original moon and will be a better and good source of light.
China will launch around 3 to 4 satellites namely artificial moon to cover an area of diameter 10 to 80 kilometers and the satellites will orbit above 500 km from the surface of the earth.
As a single artificial moon will cover a distance of 50 kilometers saving up to $250 millions of electricity as estimated by the agency.
There are mostly advantages so far coming out of this project as it will light up a whole city which will definitely make a difference and changing the concept of power outrages due to any type of disasters or any calamities like storms earthquakes etc.
Wu Chunfeng, chairman of Chengdu Aerospace Science and Technology Microelectronics System Research Institute Corporation which developed the project, said the illuminating satellite would provide a “dusk-like glow” and is a great step towards saving energy and leading to less pollution in case of taking major role of environment.
Well it now looks like a project for making future better safe and secure if we check our increasing environment problems and needs.
Efficiency and less consumption will always be the two main words describing a great sense of better future.
And it is great when we will be able to look after our own man made moon lighting in the sky.
It will replace the streetlights and other public light mediums in the future.
