PUNJAB AND ITS PEOPLE LOVE THEIR MORNING TEA AS WELL AS EVENING, FROM AN ADULT TO A SENIOR CITIZEN EVERYONE LOVE TO DRINK A PUNJABI STYLE GINGER TEA EVERYDAY.
And the best part is that when I asked my mother why they drink so much tea everyday (around three cups appx per day) they had only one answer that their day is incomplete without a tea, and yes when you visit your relatives in India anywhere people’s first choice offer is always tea because its in our blood or we can just say a habit.
HERE ARE THE STEPS TO MAKE A SPECIAL GINGER TEA IN PUNJABI STYLE
1 CHECK HOW MUCH CUPS OF TEA YOU WANT TO MAKE FOR EXAMPLE THREE
2 FOR MAKING A PUNJABI TEA WE SHOULD ALWAYS TAKE CARE OF ONE THING THAT IS THE PROPORTION OF MILK AND WATER SHOULD BE EXACTLY EQUAL (1:1)
3 FOR THREE CUPS OF TEA PUT 1.5 CUPS OF WATER BOIL IT.
4 PUT AROUND 2 TO 3 OF CARDAMOM AS WELL AS 2 OR 1 CLOVES AND HALF SPOON OF TEA LEAVES (CHAI PATTI ) IN THE WATER AS IT IS BOILING.
5 PUT GINGER PIECES AROUND 2 OF THEM IN THE BOILING WATER (NOTE THE PIECES SHOULD BE VERY VERY SMALL)
6 AS THE WATER BOILS FOR 3 TO 4 MINUTES FPR PROPER INGREDIENT MIXING POUR 1.5 CUPS OF MILK.
7 ADD 4 SPOONS OF SUGAR ( NOTE IF YOU MAKE 1 CUP OF TEA ADD TWO SOOPS OF SUGAR , 2 CUPS 3 SPOONS AMD SO ON)
8 BOIL IT AND POUR YOUR PUNJABI STYLE GINGER TEA WITH THE HELP OF A MESH.
